
Detector dog Grace sniffs out cannabis haul and Walkinstown arrest

REVENUE officers seized one kilo of herbal cannabis at a house in Walkinstown yesterday, after the haul worth €20K was detected in Dublin Airport by Revenue detector dog, Grace.
The drugs were in a vacuum packed parcel that originated in Canada and was said to contain ‘tea’ when detected by sniffer dog Grace in Dublin Airport on Thursday, April 5.

According to Revenue, the drugs have an estimated street value of €20k.
Following the operation, which included support from the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and gardai from Crumlin Garda Station, a 26-year-old Irish man was arrested and brought to Crumlin Garda Station – where he is detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drugs Trafficking) Act 1996.
Investigations are ongoing.
