Donate your unwanted presents!
By Aideen O'Flaherty
CHILDREN’S charity Barnardos is calling on people to donate their unwanted Christmas presents to their local Barnardos charity shop.
The charity, which has a shop on Main Street in Clondalkin, is encouraging people to donate their unwanted gifts to them to be sold in their charity shops – and to help fund their work in supporting children and their families through 2020.

Bernadette Harrington, Barnardos Shops’ Manager, said: “In each of our shops we sell everything you could imagine, so there will be a home for all the clothes, shoes and accessories, household goods, children’s toys, art and books that are in need of a new owner.
“The funds brought in from each donated item will go directly towards our work with over 17,700 children and families in communities across the country so it really will be the gift that keeps on giving.
“There is something for everyone in Barnardos shops and donations of unwanted gifts, big or small, are always welcome!”
Donations will be accepted in Barnardos’ charity shops, and the opening hours for their Clondalkin store are 10am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday, with the exception of Fridays, when the shop stays open until 6.30pm.
