Dr Craig ‘bore his illness with courage’

THE funeral of Dr John Craig took place in on Tuesday in Knocklyon, following his passing in Our Lady’s Hospice in Harold’s Cross last Saturday, August 20.

Dr Craig was known throughout the communities of Tallaght and Walkinstown for his time as a GP in practices on St Peter’s Road and Old Bawn Way.

He passed away following an illness, with his family saying that he showed “such courage” and “acceptance of his illness” in the past few months.

Following his funeral Mass in the Church of St Colmcille, Dr Craig was cremated at Mount Jerome Cemetery in Harold’s Cross.

Much-loved husband of Ann, Dr Craig is remembered as the treasured father of Karen, Avril, Susan, John, Laura and Michael.

He is also sadly missed by his brother Michael, sons-in-law Miles, Colm, Stephen, Simon and daughter-in-law Áine.

Dr Craig is also remembered by his ten cherished grandchildren, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, extended family members, close circle of friends and former colleagues.
