On Saturday, Brickfield Park will be busy from 1pm with music, food, dance, and entertainment for all the family, along with sports competitions and “have-a-go” areas run by local clubs.
On Sunday, the festival fun will be based at the canal for more activities.
Festival coordinator Lorraine Mitchell said: “A festival like this is the perfect way for us to come together and celebrate as a community. We have great facilities on our doorstep and it’s important to make full use of them.”
Tidy Drimnagh chairman Eoin Neylon said they are grateful to Dublin City Council and local volunteers for supporting the event.
Some highlights include workshops for children by Recreate Ireland, bricks4kids, Children’s Books Ireland, a train-ride around the park, and musical acts on stage.
There will be sports events with the Bosco Football Club and the local Good Counsel GAA as well as water activities on the canal.
Mitchell also praised local sponsors for coming on board to support the festival.
“Entry is free, and there’s something for everyone, so it’s the perfect event for anyone looking to get out and about and enjoy our area this Summer,” said Ms Mitchell.
