Dublin Fire Brigade battle overnight blaze in apartment block
By Mark Keane
Dublin Fire Brigade (DFB) fought a “well-developed fire” in an apartment block in Bushy Park House, Templeogue, in the early hours of this morning.
According to DFB, it received eleven 999 calls about a ground floor apartment on fire – with the first call arriving at 1.50am.
Upon hearing the apartment block’s fire alarm, most residents had evacuated as four pumps, a rescue tender and a District Officer from Tallaght and Dolphin’s Barn stations dealt with the fire.
The fire was brought under control by 2am after four breathing apparatus teams fought the blaze and who ensured there were no residents left in the smoke-logged apartment block.
DFB said there were no reported injuries from the apartment fire and that its work was finished at around 3am this morning.
