Duration of planning permission has been extended at Vista Montana
THE duration of planning permission for the development of 11 three-story houses at Vista Montana on the Firhouse Road has been extended by South Dublin County Council.
The works include the construction of 11 three-storey houses consisting of one detached five-bed and 10 semi-detached four-bed houses.
A new access road with a raised crossing at an entrance off the Firhouse Road is included, as is provision of on-street parking and off-street parking.
Planning permission for the development was first granted in May 2018 for a period of five years.
While “substantial works” have commenced on the project, an extension of planning permission is required to bring the project to completion.
This is according to applicant Kirby Healy Chartered Accounts, who said the development commenced in 2018 but subsequently paused, with recommencement expected next month.
Myles Kirby of Kirby Healy Chartered Accountants noted in his application that the firm is the statutory receiver to certain assets owned by Victoria Homes Limited.
Victoria Homes Limited was the company that lodged the original planning application for the development.
The subject property, Vista Montana – which has yet to be demolished to make way for four houses that are part of the development – was taken into receivership by the firm last October.
On May 23 last, South Dublin County Council granted a planning permission extension, which will expire on August 12, 2026.
