Recently taking ill and having to be hospitalised, David is highly regarded throughout, not only the club, but the wider Tallaght community.

“He has a fantastic positive attitude and is admired by all the young kids who attend his training sessions” said Colin Brown, Thomas Davis GAA Club PRO.

“He’s a great role model for our club, representing all of our core values in promoting GAA and many adult players would not even be playing hurling if it wasn’t for the effort and commitment shown by ‘Crocker’ over the years.”

Thomas Davis Club Secretary, Jonny Jackson is another great admirer of David “ saying “There isn’t anyone I can think of with even the smallest passion for hurling that David ‘Crocker’ Kinsella hasn’t touched the heart of.

“I was coached by ‘Crocker’ 39 years ago and I’ve the pleasure to now be involved as a coach with him and his son John ‘Nipper’ Kinsella.

“He oozes hurling and his way with players and kids is infectious. You just couldn’t mould another ‘Crocker’. We are so lucky to have him involved with Thomas Davis and the 2007 lads all idolise him” he added.
