Emergency Services attend Fire at Crumlin Shopping Centre
A FIRE at Crumlin Shopping Centre on Monday night was brought under control by Dublin Fire Brigade.
The incident, which occurred at approximately 8pm, saw a response from gardai who arrived at the scene.
The fire was brought under control and there were no reports of injuries.
Earlier this year, Dublin City Council granted planning permission to Dunnes Stores for a ‘landmark’ shopping centre at the site.
Plans include a new anchor unit for Dunnes Stores, a food market, café and medical centre.
The centre has the potential to provide up to 450 jobs when operational and 150-200 jobs during the construction phase.
Currently it is largely vacant with the exception of the main Dunnes anchor store.
