Emotional celebrations as John bids farewell to St Joseph’s
AFTER nearly 40 years of service at St Joseph’s Boys National School, assistant principal and teacher John Fitzgerald retired this week, amid an emotional celebration at the Clondalkin campus.
Among those present to provide a perfect send-off for the Kerryman, were colleagues, students, and an array of past-pupils, some of whom can be traced back to John’s first few years teaching at St Joseph’s – the one school he remained working in throughout his career.
