Equine centre becomes approved training school
By Maurice Garvey
CHERRY Orchard Equine Centre has passed an inspection to become an approved AIRE / ETB training school for BHS Students.
From September 2018, the centre will provide training for successful applicants up to BHS Stage Two in Complete Horsemanship.
The centre said they were “delighted that our fantastic facility will once again provide professional equestrian training to young people in the local and the greater Dublin area.”
Earlier this year, the centre passed the Association of Irish Riding Establishments (Aire) inspection, which regulates standards at riding schools and equestrian centres in Ireland.
The Cherry Orchard centre is one of 220 Aire members in the country.
Aire retains a panel of inspectors to assess riding establishments around the country, to maintain the highest standards of quality and service.
Inspections are carried out under various criteria including horses/ponies, records, saddlery, grazing, stabling, facilities, equipment, fire prevention and accommodation.
Numerous past members at Cherry Orchard Equine Centre have gone onto greater things within the equine industry.
Anyone interested in participating in the approved AIRE/ETB training courses is encouraged to contact the yard manager Michelle Leonard via email yardmanager@cherryorchard.ie or by phone at 6209160.
