
Equine Centre to hold open day in Ballyowen

CLONDALKIN Equine Club will be holding an open day as part of Horse Aware Week on Saturday, April 14, from 11am to 3pm at Ballyowen Equine Centre, Ronanstown.
The event will feature a demonstration by Ann Keoghan, from the Fettercairn Youth Horse Project, on how to lunge a horse.

Amongst the groups there on the day will include the Race Academy, a presentation by Nikki Walsh, Vet, UCD, equine nutrition, worming and body scoring your equine, and a talk by Keith Donohue, member of Dunsink Horse Club and trained at Race Academy.
The Garda Mounted Unit and Army Equitation School will be there for the day.
Jigsaw Youth Mental Health, Irish Horse Welfare Trust, and the DSPCA will all have stands on the day at the centre.
Entry is free of charge but people must register first.
There will be complimentary tea, coffee and light refreshments.
Under 14s will need to be accompanied by an adult.
