Extension of duration of planning for school prefab
THE board of management of Our Lady of Mercy Secondary School on Mourne Road in Drimnagh is seeking an extension to the duration of planning permission for a prefab in the school grounds.
The temporary structure currently houses the school’s ASD unit and is described as a single-storey, flat-roofed, detached building.
The prefab accommodates one classroom, a multi-sensory room, a safe room, a storeroom, a staff room and two toilets.
The existing temporary building is located within the existing yard of the school adjacent to the existing boiler house and the existing entrance gate opening from Knocknarea Road.
The school received planning permission for the structure for five years in 2018, and the school’s board of management is now seeking a five-year extension to the grant of planning permission.
A decision on the application has not yet been made by Dublin City Council.
