Family entertainment centre planned for Cherry Orchard
By Aideen O’Flaherty
PLANS have been lodged for a family entertainment centre in Cherry Orchard Industrial Estate on the Ballyfermot Road.
Applicant CPZ2 Limited is seeking permission for the partial change of use of an existing light industrial unit to facilitate a recreation facility/family entertainment centre.
There are plans for the removal of the existing roller shutter door located along the front elevation, and the insertion of a glazed unit incorporating double pedestrian doors at ground floor level, with windows on the first floor.
There are provisions for internal modifications including the development of a reception area, play school, revised toilet arrangements, a kitchen and all ancillary spaces pertinent to that of a family entertainment centre.
It is proposed that the family entertainment centre will be situated on the ground floor, while the mezzanine level will contain office space and storage.
Plans for a revised pedestrian escape door arrangement along the unit’s side elevation, and an enclosed secure bin store to be located at the front of the building, also form part of the application.
There are provisions for connecting to all existing mains services on-site and all associated site development works.
Dublin City Council has yet to make a decision on the application.
