Female Entrepreneur prize goes to Meagher’s Pharmacy

MEAGHER’S Pharmacy Group is celebrating after Managing Director Oonagh O’Hagan won the Compass WMB Female Entrepreneur Award 2023 at the WMB Awards.

The announcement was made at the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin recently.

WMB (Women Mean Business) is a business platform dedicated to working women.

Its annual awards celebrate and promote female entrepreneurs and businesswomen, while its online platform is the only one in Ireland dedicated to tackling the issue of gender in the workplace, to promoting Irish female entrepreneurs and to featuring inspiring female business leaders and role models.

Since purchasing Meagher’s Pharmacy on Baggot Street in Dublin in 2001, Oonagh O’Hagan has opened a further eight pharmacies across the Dublin area as well as an online store that delivers to 70 countries all over the world.

Meagher’s has been consistently named a Great Place to Work and has been a Deloitte Best Managed Company for nine consecutive years leading to Platinum Standard.

This year, Meagher’s was named Online Pharmacy of the Year at the Irish Pharmacy Awards and received the Retail Excellence of the Year award from Chambers Ireland.
