Funds allocated for social housing improvements and footpath works

SOUTH Dublin County Council’s Draft Roadworks Plan for Tallaght includes €50,000 each for social housing improvements in Tymon North Court and St Dominic’s Court.

A total of €50,000 has also been ring-fenced for footpath works in Maplewood Drive, Lawn, Park and Avenue and, separately, for Avonbeg Road.

A sum of €45,000 each has been allocated for footpath works in Belgard Heights and Watergate Estate, while Parkhill Green and rise will receive €40,000 for the same works, as will Dunmore Park.

Provision for roadworks includes €40,000 for the Tymon North Road and Green entrance, and Treepark Avenue, and €35,000 each for Sylvan Drive and Ballymount Road; and Tallaght Main Street Junction with Old Bawn Road.

Kingswood Avenue has been allocated €35,000 for roadworks, while Tamarisk, and Cill Cais and Dun Aengus, will receive €30,000 each for the same works.

Smaller sums have been provided for roadworks on Old Bawn Avenue (€25k), Castle Park (€25k), Church Grove in Aylesbury (€20k) and Second Avenue in Cookstown (€20k).

In terms of footpath works, smaller sums have been provided for works on Carrigmore Road in Aylesbury (€25k), Castle Park (€25k), Pineview Lawn (€20k), and Park View (€15k).
