Gardai investigating alleged shooting incident at house

GARDAI in Tallaght are investigating an alleged shooting at a house in the Jobstown area of Tallaght on Sunday, May 21.

The shocking video footage, which has been seen by The Echo, shows a gunman cycle towards a house, parks up his bike and then removes a firearm from underneath his top and points it towards the house.

As the gunman cycles away and leaves the area, you can see two children playing on bikes on the street only yards away from the incident.

A garda statement released to The Echo said: “Gardaí in Tallaght are investigating an alleged discharge of a firearm yesterday morning, Sunday, 21st May 2023, in Tallaght, Dublin 24.
“The incident occurred at approximately 11am. No injuries were reported. Enquiries are ongoing”.

This is the second  serious incident that has occurred in the Jobstown area in the past week.

Gardai are also investigating all the circumstances in relation to the discharge of a firearm on Jobstown Road, Tallaght last Tuesday evening, May 16 at approximately 7.30pm.

There was a large Garda presence in the Jobstown area on Sunday and over the weekend.
