Gardai investigating assault on man in Killinarden

GARDAI are investigating a serious assault on a man close to Killinarden Community Centre on Sunday.

The man, aged in his 30s, was rushed to Tallaght University Hospital and is receiving treatment for serious injuries.

Emergency services rushed to the scene around noon on Sunday and the road outside the Community Centre was blocked off by investigating gardai.

Gardai still remain at the scene today.

A statement issued by gardai said: “Gardaí are investigating a report of an assault that occurred in Tallaght, Dublin 24 at approximately 12pm on Sunday 18th August 2024.

“One male (aged in his 30s) is currently receiving treatment for serious injuries at Tallaght University Hospital.

“Investigations are ongoing at this time”.
