Gardai investigating fatal collision appeal for information

GARDAI are continuing to investigate the circumstances of a fatal road traffic collision in Tallaght on Friday, September 8. 

A woman in her eighties died following the road traffic collision, which occurred at the junction of Fortunestown Way and Cheeverstown Road shortly before 11am on September 8.

A male has appeared before the District Court charged in relation to this investigation.

A Garda spokesperson said that investigating gardai are appealing to anybody with information on the activity of a small red hatchback Ford Focus in the Cheeverstown Road area between 10.30am and 11.30am on September 8 to make contact.

Gardai are also appealing to any road users or pedestrians who might possess camera footage, including dash-cam recordings, and who were traveling along Fortunestown Way or Cheeverstown Road on that day.
