
Gardai investigating fatal stabbing of Gareth Kelly

GARDAI are continuing to investigate all circumstances surrounding the fatal stabbing of 39-year-old Gareth Kelly, which occurred in the Browns Barn Estate, in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The body of the deceased has been removed to the Dublin City Morgue and A Post Mortem will be carried out by Acting State Pathologist, Dr Linda Mulligan today, Wednesday.

A female in her 30s arrested on Tuesday in relation to this incident, remains detained at Clondalkin Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
The scene remains preserved.
A statement from Gardai said: “Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the Browns Barn Estate and Kingswood area between the hours of 6am and 7am on Tuesday, 25th February 2020 who may have information in relation to this incident to come forward.
“Gardaí are particularly appealing to road users who may have camera footage. Anyone with any information should contact Clondalkin Garda Station on 01 666 7600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station”.
A family liaison officer has been appointed to the family and they continue to support the family.
