
Gardai issue warning after vehicle stolen in South Dublin by fishing keys through letterbox
Gardai have again warned the public about the dangers of leaving car keys in plain sight of their front door after they retrieved a vehicle stolen in South Dublin.
The SUV was robbed on Monday night after thieves fished the keys though the letterbox.

Officers working as part of Operation Waste, which targets the retrieval of stolen vehicles, spotted the stolen SUV while on patrol.
In an update from Gardai, a spokesperson said: “SUV recovered as part of Operation Waste.
“Keys fished through a letterbox in South Dublin last night. Remember don’t leave keys on view”
