Gardai seize over €327k of suspected drugs in Tallaght

GARDAI have charged a man following a seizure of over €327,000 worth of suspected drugs during a search operation in Tallaght, on Saturday July 15.

At approximately 2pm, gardai attached to the Tallaght District Drugs Unit searched a residence under warrant in Tallaght. The search was conducted as part of Operation Tara.

During the course of the search a large quantity of heroin, valued at approximately €312,900, and crack cocaine, valued at €14,200, was seized by gardai. The drugs are now subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland.

One male, aged in his 40s, was arrested at the scene and detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act, at a garda station in Dublin.

Gardai have charged the man (aged in his 40s) who was arrested following the search operation in Tallaght on Saturday.

He is due to appear before Tallaght District Court, this morning, Monday, July 17.
