Gardai warn public as hunt for armed man in Tallaght continues
Following a number of incidents in Tallaght this morning, Gardai are currently carrying out searches of the area for a man who is believed to be armed.
A large Garda presence, supported by the Armed Response Unit and air support, have been searching the Jobstown area since before 7am.

The search appears to be spreading across the Tallaght area now, with reports suggesting the armed man has been involved in several car-jackings.
It is believed the incident began as a domestic dispute, and Gardai have urged anyone with information to contact them immediately.
In a statement, a Garda spokesperson said: “Gardai are asking the public to contact Tallaght Garda Station on 01 6666 000 the emergency number 999 or 112 if they have any information or see anything suspicious.”
