Glenville and Roadstone host Strokeplay Finals

GLENVILLE Pitch and Putt Club celebrating 75 years were delighted to be one of two local clubs the other being RGSC (Roadstone Group Social Club) to host the Dublin Pitch and Putt Strokeplay Finals at the weekend.

Just over 200 travelled from 10 clubs to compete in three different Ladies and Gents grades in very mixed weather conditions.

Spectators were treated to a high standard of Pitch and putt ending at Glenville late on Sunday evening.

Anthony Malone Chairman of the Dublin Board thanked both committees and grounds teams for their work in preparing courses.

Catherine Keane Chairwoman of Glenville was delighted for the Club to be invited to host this event and looks forward to hosting an All Ireland in July.

Among the winners were George McGreal from Old County Club who became the Senior Gents Champion, Brian Nolan Junior Champion of the Dublin Strokeplay, Sandra Keogh Lucan winner of the intermediate Cup with Ger Ward Portmarnock winner of the Senior Cup and Caroline Jordon Glenville the Ladies Junior Champion.
