Great fun at colourful Street Feast in village
STREET FEAST – the national weekend of Street Parties and Community Celebrations hosted by Neighbourhood Network, took place throughout Ireland in over 820 communities.
The Tallaght village Street Feast was a colourful and lovely affair attended by over 50 people on Sunday after the Tallaght Tidy Towns usual Sunday litter-pick.
The street party was serenaded by 20 traditional Irish musicians from Cleachtadh.
The musicians played for almost two hours while the residents gathered shared food, stories and played board games.
The hosts were delighted with the event and they even managed to avoid the heavy showers forecast for the day – so even the weather gods were on side for Tallaght village’s Street Feast.
“It was a really enjoyable gathering of new and old friends from Tallaght village.
