Green Angel enjoys 40 per cent increase in turnover

RATHCOOLE skincare company Green Angel enjoyed a 40 per cent increase in turnover in 2019, with e-commerce sales up 150 per cent, largely due to focused marketing and social media campaigns.
Founded in 2006 by Chris and Mary Mitchell, the company say their growth is driven by “constant re-investment in facilities and equipment, as well as in additional new sales, marketing and production personnel.”

The beauty business employs 18 people, with six new recruits in the past year.
In October, co-founder Mary Mitchell won Business Person of the Year award at the South Dublin Chamber Business Awards 2019.
Speaking on stage while collecting her award, Ms Mitchell said that although the business started on their kitchen table, today they are “exporting to the UK, France, Germany, Czech Republic”, and recently secured the USA.”
Green Angel has also secured a new distributor in the US and has a Green Angel store in the Czech Republic, complementing a strong base of beauty and pharmacy stockists across Ireland and the UK.
Hand-made in Rathcoole, Green Angel beauty products are a pure blend of organic seaweed and essential oils, positioned as a luxury range with natural ingredients for superior skin and hair care.
The range includes over thirty individual product lines, including natural skincare, hair and body care, organic hand-harvested seaweed, as well as aromatherapy-based gift items.
Green Angel products are available online and at stockists, including major pharmacy chains and independents in the Republic and in Northern Ireland, as well as stores such as Avoca, Shaw’s and Kilkenny outlets.
