Green light given for three two-storey houses at Nash Street site
PLANS for the construction of three two-storey houses at 54 Nash Street in Inchicore have been given the green light by Dublin City Council.
Developer Orbitiz Ltd submitted their planning application to Dublin City Council earlier this year.
The development consists of the demolition of a non-original rear single-storey extension and a two-storey extension to the side, and two single-storey ancillary shed buildings.
The planned construction work includes a new two-storey extension to the rear of 54 Nash Street, and the construction of three two-storey, three-bedroom terraced dwellings.
Each dwelling is to be served by private amenity spaces to the rear, while provision of a shared bicycle parking and bin store area to the front is included.
The proposed dwellings will be situated to the immediate west of 54 Nash Street and will be accessed via Nash Street, according to the applicant.
On March 16, Dublin City Council decided to grant permission for the development.
Last year, Obitiz Ltd applied for permission for the construction of four houses at the same site, but the council refused permission for the proposal.
The local authority stated that the proposal would represent “overdevelopment of the site” and would provide a “substandard” level of accommodation.
