Guest house change of use plans for Towerville

PERMISSION is being sought for the change of use of Towerville house on Tower Road in Clondalkin from a residential dwelling into a guest house, reports Aideen O’Flaherty.

Applicant Emerald Project Management Ltd is seeking permission for the change of use and for the provision of one accessible bathroom at ground floor level.

Changes to the external elevations inclusive of the widening and lowering of existing door ope to 0.8m on the south elevation and the widening of the gate leading into the courtyard are included.

Internal layout revisions include the omission of existing partition walls/doors at ground and first floor levels and provision of new partition walls to facilitate new internal layouts.

Provision of one accessible car parking bay is included in the planning application.

The development includes all ancillary site works, inclusive of boundary treatments, landscaping and SuDS drainage, necessary to facilitate the development at Towerville, Tower Road, Dublin 22.

It is noted in the application that Towerville is a protected structure, and a decision on the application is due from South Dublin County Council by May 21.

Towerville is a two-storey, three-bed and two-bath detached property that was built in the 1850s and was sold in April last year for €900k.
