Historic buildings facing destruction could be saved
HISTORICAL buildings in Clondalkin – Fairview Oilmills and St Cuthbert’s Church – face destruction unless they are repurposed, according to Cllr Francis Timmons (Ind).
The Mill harks back to the days of Clondalkin’s early agricultural past, when much of the land in the area was used for farming – the Oilmills itself at Corkagh Park a producer of various materials including linseed rape oils, bricks and linen.
