SHAMROCK Rovers scooped more than just the FAI Cup last weekend, as their Under 19s defeated Bohemians 4-1 to lift the SSE Airtricity Enda McGuill Cup at Dalymount Park.

After already taking the lead five minutes into the game by way of a solid header by Sinclair Armstrong, Rovers earned another boost when Bohemians midfielder Katlego Mashigo was shown a straight red for a challenge on Luke Kelly in the box.
Kelly picked himself up to despatch the resulting penalty to the net and double his side’s advantage.
Darragh Nugent effectively secured the derby for the Tallaght side when he beat goalkeeper Sean Bohan to make it 3-0.
But fine play by substitutes Marlon Marishta and Michael O’Keane saw Bohs pull one back only for Darragh Nugent to restore Rovers’ three-goal cushion when he found the top corner.
