Housing list shows slight drop in older applicants

THERE are 541 applicants over 65 years old on South Dublin County Council’s social housing waiting list so far this year.

This shows a slight decrease in the number who were on the list last year, when there were 597 people in the same age bracket waiting for social housing.

The council provided these figures in response to a question seeking the information that was submitted by Cllr Derren Ó Brádaigh at last month’s council meeting.
