
HSE ‘devoid of empathy’
PROTESTS have taken place this week outside Cherry Orchard Hospital (COH) following the announcement that elderly residents are to be moved to a private nursing home in Clondalkin to facilitate flooring works at COH.
Families and representatives have criticised the HSE’s “devoid of empathy” plan to move 68 vulnerable patients, with medical needs, including dementia, to Clondalkin, amid fears some might not survive the transition.
