
Investigations ongoing after attempted robbery of Tallaght Village parking meter

A parking meter on Main Street, Tallaght, has been removed following an attempted robbery.
Last Friday morning, this damaged parking meter, located across from St Mary’s Priory, greeted motorists when they attempted to use the pay-and-display parking machine.

When contacted by The Echo, a spokesperson for South Dublin County Council said: "We are aware of the attempted robbery and have removed the parking machine which was badly damaged in the course of the incident.”
According to the council, the parking meter is expected to be replaced by the end of the week.
Investigations into the damage are still ongoing.
