THE sixth annual IP Telecom Dublin Night Run takes place in Park West Business Park on Tuesday, July 30. Starting at 7.20pm, the race has a 5km or 10km option.
It begins in Park West, goes up Killeen Road to the bridge and then onto the Grand Canal looping back to Park West.

Eoin Ryan, who started up the night race six years ago, said it attracts approximately 400 people but more people are encouraged to join.
“There are no road restrictions for the race as it goes along the wide pathways and quieter roads in Park West.

“The race is organised in conjunction with Cherry Orchard Athletic Club, who will marshal all key points along the route.

The Civil Defence and gardai will also be assisting in the smooth running of the event.”

Ryan expects the 400 entrants will include fast runners chasing personal best times, and fun runners.

“The Park West course would be considered a flat and fast running course,” he said.

“All participants will get a large bespoke medal upon completion of the race. It is possible to enter on the night in the Plaza in Park West if you feel the need for speed or a fun challenge.”
