There is a great opportunity to discover Ireland’s herstory carved in stone at Glasnevin Cemetery Museum this year.
The museum is hosting a series of guided walking tours which focus on the stories of some of the inspirational women who played a pivotal role in shaping Irish history and culture.
On this tour, visitors will hear the stories of some of the following incredible women
Maud Gonne MacBride, Constance Markievicz, Delia Larkin, Charlotte Despard, Madeline Ffrench Mullen, Jennie Wyse Power, Elizabeth O’Farrell and Hanna Sheehy-Skeffington to name only a few.
These special tours take place at 2pm on the last Sunday of each month from June until November. Glasnevin’s Women’s tours have proven immensely successful with many positive reviews from visitors.

Opened in 1832, Glasnevin is Ireland’s national cemetery where over 1.6 million people have been laid to rest.
Glasnevin offers a window into Irish history and the guided tours are filled with enjoyable anecdotes and wry stories that bring it to life.
