The Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBT) are hosting a blood donation clinic this Wednesday, March 28, from 5pm-8.30pm, at St Mark’s National School, Springfield, Tallaght.
Each week hospitals throughout the country require 3,000 units of blood to ensure that A&E departments, cancer patients, neonatal units and many other patients have adequate blood supplies.

Members of the public are advised to visit the Give Blood website before donating.
Residents can and take the eligibility test online, even if already a donor, and learn more about what is required.
IBT recommend donors have eaten something, had plenty of cold drinks, and allow about an hour and a half to complete the process at the clinic, from registration to refreshments.
