
It’s finally Friday! Here’s 5 ways you can enjoy your weekend locally

The 4 District (Newcastle, Rathcoole, Saggart and Blessington) Fun Day will be held in Rathcoole this Saturday, September 16, from 1.30pm. Staged around the Rathcoole Community Centre, the fun day will include plenty of entertainment including a carousel, magician, animal farm, dog show, outdoor games, puppet shows, children’s train rides, face painting, bouncy castles, live music and stalls selling local produce and food.
Tallaght Stadium will see home team Shamrock Rovers take on Dundalk in the EA Sports Cup Final this Saturday, September 16, at 3pm. Tickets are on sale from the club ticket office. Visit here for more.
Clondalkin Library will host its Crafternoon Craft Circle this Saturday from 10am to 12 noon. The group meets every week to sew, knit and crochet, with more experienced members happy to share advice and tips. No booking is required. Suitable for adults.
Bushy Park in Terenure is home to a market every Saturday from 11.30am to 4pm. Boasting a wide array of food stalls serving donuts to falafel, organic burgers to noodles, and pulled pork to pastries, there’s something to suit everyone taste buds. Plus you can squeeze in a nice walk while you’re there.
CORKAGH PARK is the location of a 5K charity walk this Sunday, September 17, in aid of the Irish Cancer Society, CROI, and Humanity First International. Organised by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association Ireland, the walk starts at 11.30am and to register or donate visit here.
