Kiltipper Woods named Nursing Home of the Year

KILTIPPER Woods Care Centre has been named Nursing Home of the year in the Irish Healthcare Awards.

The centre received the Healthcare Award in recognition of its continued commitment to the provision of high quality care, the extensive range of services offered, continuous quality improvement; innovation; building design; staff professional development and its rigorous compliance in meeting HIQA standards and all regulations, along with their vision projections for future growth and expansion.

Kiltipper Woods Care Centre located on Kiltipper Road, is a purpose-built care centre that is registered with the Health Information Quality Authority (HIQA).

All HIQA inspection reports reveal that the centre is successfully complying with all national and regulatory requirements.

The centre offers a wide range of services which include: residential care, short-term care (respite), intermediate care (convalescent and rehabilitation post discharge from acute hospital), palliative care, end of life care, dementia care, day care, occupational, physiotherapy and hydrotherapy services.

The Healthcare Awards which are organised by CMG and sponsored by the Katherine Howard Foundation provide an opportunity for healthcare centres throughout Ireland to showcase their good work to a national audience and be recognised for their achievements, staff excellence and patient care.

Some other winners at the award Ceremony were the Mater Hospital, Rotunda Hospital, Cork University Hospital, Laura Lynn  Ireland’s Children’s Hospice, Primary Care Centres and various Healthcare Initiatives from the Public and Private Healthcare Sectors.
