Learner driver in Dublin arrested after “bad start to a driving career!”

It was a bad start to the driving career of a learner driver over the weekend in Dublin after they were found to be driving under the influence of drugs.

New mandatory intoxicant drug testing came in earlier this year, and in the latest update from An Garda Siochana they said the driver was found to be under the influence of both cocaine and cannabis.

Having tested positive for the substances the motorist was arrested.

Gardai said: “Dublin Traffic–Mandatory Intoxicant Testing Sat night – ‘L’ driver tested positive for Cocaine & Cannabis–bad start to a driving career!”
