Legionnaire’s disease scare in health centres caused closures
THE closure of four health centres due to the detection of “increased levels of legionella bacteria”, requires a full investigation, according to TD Mark Ward (SF).
Among the centres affected were Rowlagh Health Centre in North Clondalkin, where services were “paused” by the HSE between June 9 to July 25, and both the Rathcoole Health Centre and Four Districts Day Care, which “temporarily closed” from July 7 to August 5.
