Lidl to demolish and rebuild Cherry Orchard store

LIDL has been granted permission for demolition of existing single-storey discount food store with ancillary off-licence use at Unit 15, Cherry Orchard Industrial Estate, Ballyfermot Road.

Lidl has been given the green light for a two-storey mono-pitch discount food store (with ancillary off-licence use) measuring 2144 sq m gross floor space with a net retail sales area of 1,400 sq m.

The plans also include redevelopment/ reconfiguration of existing site layout and car parking, the provision of free-standing and building-mounted signage, free-standing trolley bay and enclosure, public lighting, electric vehicle charging points, roof-mounted solar panels, roof-mounted refrigeration and air-conditioning plant and equipment.

The planning application also provides for surface-water attenuation, cycle parking, boundary treatments, connections to services and all other associated and ancillary development and works above and below ground level.
