
Lightning strike: No Luas between Red Cow and Tallaght/Saggart
THE RED Line Luas is this morning not travelling between Red Cow and Tallaght/Saggart following yesterday’s lightning strike.
The Luas stop in Kingswood is unusually quiet this morning as commuters make their way to bus stops, which The Echo understands are packed.
In a Tweet this morning, Luas said its maintenance teams have been working through the night to restore service.
A replacement bus is servicing all closed stops, with Luas tickets also valid on Dublin Bus for the duration of the disruption.

Red Line services are operating between Red Cow and Connolly/The Point.
However, people are asked to “allow extra time when travelling as services are operating with delays”, the tram operator tweeted.
Luas said it will provide updates throughout the morning.
