Lions Club help out less well off

LUCAN Lions Club will be engaged in a series of activities in SuperValu Lucan in the run-up to Christmas, to help support those less well off in the community over the holidays.

Activities include a food trolley for the annual Christmas food appeal. All non-perishable food donations will be distributed to worthy causes by the club.

A €2 customer donation option will operate at the tills.

Tickets for the Monster Christmas Raffle will be on sale from Lions Club members in the store from December 15-17, with the hamper prizes (4 x €100 and 2 x €50) kindly donated by SuperValu. The draw will take place in the store on December 17.

The proceeds from these in-store activities will be distributed to those less well off in the Lucan community.

Lucan Lions thanked SuperValu manager Ger Joyce and his colleagues for allowing them a strong presence in the store.
