TALLAGHT’S Sherin Abdelnaby is a woman at the forefront of a mini revolution. Sherin is the leader and inspiration for a new movement called “Sister Sheds,” an organisation concerned with improving the lives and mental health of women in Ireland.
Taking some inspiration from the Men’s Shed movement which began in Australia in the 1980s, Sherin decided that a similar programme, tailored to the needs and wants of women would be a fine thing, and along with her cousin, Rachel Hughes set about making it a reality.
