Delighted with the performance of her young protégé, Jobstown coach Amanda Spencer said “Stacy left no stone unturned in this fight.

“She really went for it against a very good opponent. Stacy was just that bit more skillful and it was a great achieve-ment for her in only her first year in boxing,” she added.

With Dublin League and Championship honours also wrapped up, O’Connor willl now be turning her attention to this summer’s Monkstown Box Cup.

There was more good news for Jobstown at the weekend as Spencer was presented with her One Star Coaching badge by the IABA in the National Stadium.

Kilnamanagh boxer Maguire, meanwhile, secured the Girl Four 73kg title after she earned a unanimous decision in her decider against Clara’s Katlyn Recks last Saturday.

Kacie Delaney’s final step on the road to the Girl Three 57kg title was equally convinc-ing as she carded a 5-0 win over Aine Doyle in the final.
