Local history with Monica McGill: An Chluain sculpture redolent of past and ‘fish-rich’ Camac

Clondalkin locals know that the highest area in the district includes the place where Monastery Road meets Woodford Hill.

Here, a grassy section with a grove of trees is the location of our newest public art piece, An Chluain, by sculptor Holger C. Lonze, D. Phil. MRBS. “Newest” because, in a way, each extant example of our architectural heritage is in itself a piece of public art.
