Luas Red Line reopens as three people hospitalised after crash

Three people, including a Luas driver, have been taken to hospital after a tram and a car were involved in a crash earlier today on Queen Street.

The collision occurred just after 11am, and services on the Luas Red Line have been severely disrupted since the crash.

The line has since reopened, but delays remain, and are expected to continue “for a period of time” according to Luas operator, Transdev.

The company have also confirmed two people from the car and one of their drivers have been taken to hospital as a “precaution”.
