
Lucan Harriers going in the right direction
THE Dublin Relay Championships were held at Lucan Harriers track and a great night of athletics was had by all last week.
Well done to the U13 boys Dublin champions, U16 boys silver medal and girls U15 silver medal.
The club was also involved in the Dublin Juvenile Championships this weekend in Tallaght AC track.
There were super performances from our young Lucan Harriers athletes with loads of battling performances, pbs and medals over the last two weekends.
Well done to Saoirse Fitzgerald selected today as Dublin Juvenile Female Athlete of the Year for 2022 at the Leinster Star Awards Ceremony in Tullamore.
Huge congratulations to Eve Noctor who has been selected on the Irish U20 4x400m team who travel to Mannheim on the 23rd of June to compete in the Mannheim Junior Competition.

PB 200m for Carol Kearney in w55 at DSD Games on Sunday along with a national record W55, in a time of 29.35 sec Elle O’Neill ran the Portumna Forest 50km on Saturday in a time of 05.41:42.
The Wicklow 200 cycle took place on Sunday with Barry Aherne and Will Byrne both completing the 200k on a very hot day.
Great running by all Lucan Harriers last Sunday in the Irish Runner 5 Miles.
The Ladies 050 Team of Breda Smyth, Mary Browne and Lorraine Heffernan got National Bronze, Eileen O Brien Silver O70, Mary Browne Silver 065 and Liz Arkins Bronze O65 Emma Broderick secured a PB of 45.58.
Ruth French, Men’s captain Damien O Sullivan showing the way, Kathleen Trunk, Tricia Gough, Ann Marie Lavin and Josephine Dignam were all out in the Red and Black vest.
Well done to Catherine Dunne on her time of 35.18 at the Thoroughbred 5K in the Curragh on Sunday.
