Lucan’s Jenny Egan claims bronze at Canoe Marathon World Championships in South Africa
Lucan’s Jenny Egan has claimed a bronze medal at the Canoe Marathon World Championships in South Africa.
Having already taken gold and bronze medals in World Cup Competition this year, Egan continued her good run of form to clinch third place.

The Echo Sport Star of the Month for May came into the weekend’s competition off the back of impressive performances at World Sprint Championships last weekend in Czech Republic where she made to the semi-finals of both the Women’s K1 500m and 200m events before finishing tenth.
It was straight to South Africa from there, and what an achievement it is for the Salmon Leap Club rower.
