Man (20s) dies after fatal road traffic collision on Naas Road

A man in his 20s has died after the vehicle he was driving was involved in a single vehicle road traffic collision this morning on the Naas Road.

The road was closed for a number of hours as emergency services dealt with the accident.

In a statement released by Gardai, a spokesperson said: “Gardai are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N7 Naas Road outbound near Junction 2 Kingswood at approximately 6.20am this morning.

“A male in his 20s was fatally injured when the 4×4 vehicle he was driving and sole occupant of collided with the barrier. He was taken to Tallaght Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

“The road was closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and has since reopened.”
