Man (30s) in serious condition after being struck by car in Clondalkin
A man is in a serious condition after he was struck by a car on the Ninth Lock Road in Clondalkin earlier this morning.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:10am when the man, aged in his early 30s, was hit by the car near the Cappaghmore Estate.
The man was taken to Tallaght Hospital, and Gardai have described his condition as serious.
The road has been closed for a number of hours as Gardai conduct a forensic collision investigation.
Dublin Bus have also re-routed the 76 bus, with the operator saying the bus will run via the Fonthill Road instead.
“A man in his early 30s was injured when he was stuck by the car and he has been taken to Tallaght Hospital. His condition is described as serious.
“The road is currently closed both ways for forensic collision investigations.”
